Meet the Team
Dr. Debra Burns
Dr. Debra Burns of Advanced Back & Wellness Center began her chiropractic career in 1984 as a graduate of the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. Formerly known as the National College of Chiropractic, her Alma mater is a leader in chiropractic education and accreditation. Much of the current research available today, including the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, began here, and she was fortunate to have had many of the current authors and editors as her instructors. As a pre-med major at Southern Connecticut State University, she was well prepared for the vigorous and comprehensive curriculum presented.
Following graduation in 1984, she continued post graduate study in advanced orthopedic and sports medicine. She is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and is a board-eligible diplomate candidate in Chiropractic Orthopedics.
In the community Dr. Burns has served on the DKH Women’s Board and as a member of the Putnam Rotary Board of Directors. Dr. Burns currently resides in Eastern Connecticut.
